Guadalupe River Access
Hunt Vacation House has access to a private Guadalupe River park which is just 600 feet from the house! With only 20 or so homes in the community, the park is never crowded. A trail goes from the end of our driveway down the hill and across the road to our homeowner’s association river park. We affectionately call it “the goat trail” – it’s a little rough but completely manageable by most people. The river park has kayaks, picnic tables, a grill, and a rope swing.
River Park Policy:
Do not allow children to cross Highway 39 or use the river park without a responsible adult present. The trail to the river park is a public easement and not maintained. Please be careful on the trail and if someone in your group has balance or mobility issues, it's an easy drive around to the park instead to drop folks off. There is no parking inside the river park gates. There are no motorized water toys or boats allowed.
* Well, it has never been crowded when we were there. Apparently it has been crowded on weekends this summer. 2020 has been very different in so many ways, and this is another one.
